Grizzlies Sign First Player
Anaheim, CA.
Another major milestone for the California Grizzlies today as conversations earlier this afternoon concluded in the signing of the first player. Yuri Stalev of Moskva, Russia will be the first to sign with the Grizzlies for the inaugural season.
The forward/defensemen comes to the Grizzlies after completing his final year of junior hockey in the USPHL where he scored a total of 30 goals while racking up 24 assists in 43 games between the Long Beach Shredders and the Fresno Monsters.
Coach Maxwell had no hesitation in his decision to sign Stalev. With a resume like Stalev, the Grizzlies will not be in any shortage of goals scored. A dynamic goal scorer is only the start for the Grizzlies though as the team looks to fill roster spots.
